Simple Spaghetti

The ingredient:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 300 g lamb mince
  • 2 x 425 g cans tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 500 g spaghetti
  • Fresh basil to garnish
  • Shredded Parmesan and mozzarella cheese to garnish

To make this simple dish:

  1. Heat oil in a large pan. Add garlic and stir over low heat for 1 minute
  2. Add mince and brown well
  3. Add the tomatoes, the wine, the dried basil and seasoning. Stir to mix and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until the sauce is reduced by half
  4. While sauce is cooking, add the spaghetti to a large pan of rapidly boiling water and cook until just tender. Drain from water
  5. In serving dish, add the spaghetti and the sauce. Then, toss until mixed well
  6. Add the shredded cheese and the basil garnish
  7. Serve immediately
