The ingredient:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 300 g lamb mince
- 2 x 425 g cans tomatoes
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 500 g spaghetti
- Fresh basil to garnish
- Shredded Parmesan and mozzarella cheese to garnish
To make this simple dish:
- Heat oil in a large pan. Add garlic and stir over low heat for 1 minute
- Add mince and brown well
- Add the tomatoes, the wine, the dried basil and seasoning. Stir to mix and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until the sauce is reduced by half
- While sauce is cooking, add the spaghetti to a large pan of rapidly boiling water and cook until just tender. Drain from water
- In serving dish, add the spaghetti and the sauce. Then, toss until mixed well
- Add the shredded cheese and the basil garnish
- Serve immediately
